Last week I bought the first Oregon Strawberries from a fruit stand in Damascus...they were delicious. Today I spotted the first ripe strawberry in our garden!

Dr Quito, our eldest Min Pin loves strawberries. If I am not careful he sneaks out and guzzles the lots before we have a chance.
We have a lot of mountain strawberries as ground cover. He likes those best.
This year most of the strawberries are in hanging baskets.
Last year we started them in pots on the ground, but the dogs ate them as soon as they were ripe, so we moved them up onto a table...well, it didn't take long for Berry to learn to pull on the runners that draped over the table and pull the whole pot off!
