Flowering Currant
Ribes sanguineum
Sarah gave us a taste of a berry we didn't like! We think this is a first. Of course we ate it anyway, just to make sure we didn't miss out on anything. It was a black currant from the Flowering Currant bush. Sarah tried one of the berries too, she said it had a very sour, almost bitter, skin and lots of seeds. We will leave the currants for the birds!
