The Fall Garden

Blueberry Bushes
Fall can be one of the nicest times of the year in the garden...We are done with most of the hand watering, the weeds are growing a bit slower, and the plants are alive with birds picking seeds for the winter. It has been a very rainy November, record setting! The wet weather has really made a mess of the lawn, but the dogs are having a great time hunting grubs and worms!

The blueberry bushes have great fall color, once their leaves fall we will enjoy their colorful stems through the winter. The Echineacea looks pretty ragged now, but I can't bear to cut them back, the birds love the seeds (but they hate the camera, so no action photos).

I am also impressed by the berries on the white Beauty Berry, they are really something different, and they look great in flower arrangements.
