When we bought our house, the yard was very neglected, we ended up removing most of the plants, this rose 'Jeanie Williams' is one of the few plants we kept...it has grown with very little care and will bloom all summer if dead-headed. It is not good for bouquets, it drops petals everywhere.
The front of our house was covered with overgrown Rhododendrons, we dug all of them out. I managed to save part of a root with a branch of the best looking plant, I put it in the back yard where it would have room to grow. Now 8 years later it is really doing well. I love the purple flower with the orange blotch.
