Toad Lilies (Tricyrtis) are one of my very favorite flowers; they bloom after most other flowers have given up for the fall, and their flowers are so cool, like little orchids.
I find that Toad Lilies really like moist soil, and will take a lot of sun if well watered, otherwise they need bright shade. The picture above is Tricytris 'Gilt Edge'. The picture on the left is an unlabeled plant I bought on clearance at Rite Aid; it is a great plant, the slugs don't like it's fuzzy leaves (the other Toad lilies in the garden have smooth leaves, the slugs enjoy them)
