As soon as the peas started to bloom Berry decided to pull them down so he and Basil could eat the stems and leaves! Pea shoots are a delicacy, but not for my dogs! The peas are now safely enclosed in the dogs ex-pen. When it is time to plant the beans, I will sow them at the very center of the bed where to dogs can't reach.
